Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion
The name "Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion" is used to denote a lay person who assists the priest in administering the sacrament of holy communion, by distributing the consecrated bread and wine to the congregation. They may also take the sacraments to those who are ill, or otherwise unable to attend Mass.
